The rappers community is made up of people who share experiences, objects, spaces, ideas, values, tools, techniques and oral, symbolic, corporal and musical expressions when performing rap. In these pages the author presents his experience and field methodology in this group. He’s based on the ethnography of discourse by James P. Spradley and, specifically, he addresses considerations regarding choosing a social event for its registration: anticipating conditions of arrival, preparing interviews, analyzing the collected information, collecting personal files and, finally, leaving the site.
