Abstract

The interview, conducted in 1998, focuses on the biography of Mr. Jesús García Zavala, a goldsmith specialized in the work of traditional Purépecha jewelry pieces who also made signature designs, some of which have become classic designs of Patzcuaro. His story allows us to trace part of the history of a traditional job in which he was recognized as one of the best artisans in the state of Michoacán.
