About the Journal

Diálogos de Campo is the media of the Laboratorio Nacional de Materiales Orales (LANMO). It is a continuous, electronic and academic publication dedicated to multi and interdisciplinary reflection on field work and the documentation of oral materials. Diálogos de Campo has a double-blind arbitration system; our national and international referees are recognized specialists in their field of knowledge. The magazine is made up of four sections: Studies, Reviews, Samples and Visual Chronicles. Papers are accepted in Spanish, English, P'urhepecha, Nahuatl and Portuguese.

SECTIONS

Studies

In this section are published academic articles that contain reflections, methodological guidelines and theoretical approaches on the documentation of oral materials in field work or in archives, as well as on their processing and study. Similarly, works on topics related to LANMO's interests are spreads: orality, oral history, anthropology, ethnography, ethnomusicology, audiovisual ethnography, sociology, linguistic documentation, etc.

Samples

This section publishes interviews and other communicative acts considered as oral materials, documented in field work or in archives and processed in accordance with LANMO protocols.

Visual Chronicles

This section is intended for the publication of images obtained in field work: photographs, drawings, maps and other visual files, which are presented here in a narrative sequence.

Reviews

In this section, brief reviews of academic events, books, video material, phonograms, graphic exhibitions or other types of material related to LANMO's research interests are published.
